Tele-mentoring using augmented reality technology in healthcare: A systematic review
نویسندگان
چکیده
This systematic review aimed to identify how tele-mentoring systems that incorporate augmented reality (AR) technology are being used in healthcare environments. A total of 12 electronic bibliographic databases were searched using the terms “augmented reality”, “tele-mentoring” and “health”. The PRISMA checklist was as a guide for reporting. mixed method appraisal tool assess quality included experiments. data then analysed concept-centric approach categorised primarily with regards system performance task measures. 11 randomised controlled trials 14 non-randomised designs review. Both mentees mentors assessed according 25 categories. feedback AR generally positive. majority experiments revealed an effective device overall resulted procedure. Benefits improvements trainees’ confidence, completion time reductions errors shifts focus. However, had limitations, including heaviness equipment, inconvenience, discomfort distraction wearing devices, limited battery life, latency video audio signals field view.

 Implications practice or policy:
Health practitioners can apply receive follow real-time annotated instructions verbally visually from remote experts.
Technical developers may consider improving devices lighter weight, larger view, more ergonomic design, stable network connection longer life.
Further AR-related need explore systems’ utility across environments samples, real patient populations settings, cost-benefit analysis impacts on short- long-term outcomes.

Background. The effective development of healthcare competencies poses great educational challenges. A possible approach to provide learning opportunities is the use of augmented reality (AR) where virtual learning experiences can be embedded in a real physical context. The aim of this study was to provide a comprehensive overview of the current state of the art in terms of user acceptance, the...
متن کاملAugmented Reality: a Review
Augmented Reality (AR) is a new technology that involves the overlay of computer graphics on the real world. It is a live view of a physical, real world whose elements are augmented by computer generated sensory input i.e. sound, video, graphics or GPS data. AR is within a more general context termed Mixed Reality (MR) that refers to a multi-axis range of areas that covers Virtual Reality (VR),...
